Sarah Jones Nelson

Sarah Jones Nelson is a philosopher of science and politics. She is an advisor to the Vatican on questions of physics, mathematics, philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Lateran University. In the Princeton University Department of Philosophy she joined the faculty to teach across philosophical disciplines and later became a Guest of the Department. At the University Center for the Study of Religion she directed the Princeton Project on Fragility, an interdisciplinary faculty seminar which convened also at the Institute for Advanced Study under the auspices of the Schools of Mathematics and Social Science. As an honorary member of Christ Church, Oxford University she discovered and researched a Newton manuscript relating to his invention with Locke of axiomatic rights. She is publishing a book in progress on the fragility of truth.*
